Tumour subtype-specific sex-biased driver mutations included CTNNB1 mutation frequency in liver hepatocellular cancer (Liver-HCC), with more male-derived samples harbouring CTNNB1 mutations: (male: 31%, female: 13%, 95% CI: 8.1–28%, prop-test q = 0.048, LGR q = 1.4 × 10−3, Fig. 1a, Supplementary Fig. 1). Here, CTNNB1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
