VSIG4‐mediated suppression of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and inflammatory responses (via administration of a VSIG4‐Ig fusion protein) exerts a therapeutic benefit in experimental models of autoimmune disease (Chen, Muckersie, Luo, Forrester, & Xu, 2010; Jung et al., 2015; Katschke et al., 2007).
