Treatment with eliglustat in RM-9 tumor bearing mice also resulted in statistically significant increases (two-sided Wilcoxon rank sum test p: 0.004) in plasma ceramides (Supplementary Fig. 8c), suggesting that the elevation in plasma Cav-1 and sphingolipids may be a consequence of cell death (Fig. 7b–d). The gene discussed is CAV1; the disease is neoplasm.
