COL14A1 and Alzheimer disease: Higher methylation levels on the gene bodies of CAPN3 (HR = 1.46, CI = 1.19–1.79, P < 0.001) and STAT5A (HR = 1.59, CI = 1.29–1.97, P < 0.001) were associated with significantly increased risk of death in AD patients, while higher methylation levels on COL2A1 (HR = 0.80, CI = 0.68–0.93, P = 0.003), COL14A1 (HR = 0.73, CI = 0.63–0.86, P < 0.001), and SPOCK3 (HR = 0.83, CI = 0.70–0.99, P = 0.036) were associated with significantly decreased risk of death.
