Mutlu et al. reported in their study on breast cancer cell lines that miR-564 directly affects the PI3K and MAPK pathways through AKT2, GNA12, GYS1 and SRF molecules and inhibit the cell cycle in G1 phase and through this pathway inhibited the proliferation and invasion of the breast cancer cells [35]. The gene discussed is AKT2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
