F8 and hemorrhagic disease: Given the physiological role of FVIII, where low levels of the protein result in a bleeding disorder (Carcao, 2012; Mingot-Castellano, 2019), while high levels are associated with thrombosis (Rietveld et al., 2019), it is likely that miRNA-mediated F8 gene fine-tuning plays a particularly important role in maintaining homeostasis.
