Exposure of wild-type p53 U87 (p53wt) and mutated p53 LN229 (p53mut) glioblastoma lines to 50 and 100 μM p28 for 24–72 h resulted in an increase in the intracellular level of p53wt in glioblastoma U87 and downstream levels of p21 in LN229 glioblastoma (61). The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is glioblastoma.
