Although one previous study has showed that some m6A regulators, such as METTL3 and YTHDF1 were upregulated in HCC, and they were independent poor prognostic factors (34), we not only demonstrated that the expression of combined m6A regulators genes is also closely correlated with the prognosis of HCC, but also showed that a remarkable correlation between genetic changes of those m6A regulators as a whole group and the status of TP53 mutations (Table S1). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
