CDKN2A and pancreatic neoplasm: They worked on a group of six candidate genes, NPTX2, SARP2, UCHL1, ppENK, CDKN2A, and RASSF1A, and observed differential methylation in the promoters of all the genes in pancreatic cancer and healthy controls except in CDKN2A promoter, which was methylated differentially between pancreatic cancer patients and those having chronic pancreatitis (Park et al., 2012).
