Determination of neutrophil-specific chemokine expression by RT-PCR confirmed that oxaliplatin plus lipid A, which has been reported to exert antitumor effects against different tumor types, including colon cancer, BC and melanoma (151, 152), increased CXCL-1, CXCL-2, and IL-8 gene expression in tumors, thereby stimulating recruitment of antitumor N1-like neutrophils and impeding cancer progression (153). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and breast cancer.
