CD4 and Diarrhea: The first ever measured total CD4+ lymphocyte count in peripheral blood was higher in diarrhoea patients (p = 0.028; n = 138), but there were significantly lower numbers of (first and last measured) naïve CD4+ lymphocytes in patients with diarrhoea (p = 0.009, n = 28 and p = 0.018, n = 28).
