SHBG and polycystic ovary syndrome: Male PCOS equivalent may be diagnosed in presence of PCOS-like hormonal pattern (increased DHEAS, AMH, LH, LH/FSH ratio, high calculated free testosterone), metabolic abnormalities (IR, hyperinsulinemia, low SHBG levels, hyperglycemia), overweight/obesity, and/or clinical signs of hyperandrogenism (mainly early-onset AGA), above all in patients younger than 35 years with a family history positive for PCOS.
