Collinein-1 reduced the viability of human breast cancer cell line MCF7, which displays high expression of hEAG1, but does not affect the HepG2 and MCF10A cell lines, which present low expression of this ion channel, demonstrating that the reduction of cell viability might be connected with hEAG1 inhibition by this protein (Boldrini-França et al., 2020).
