NPTXR and neoplasm: Finally, we confirmed the influence of stable NPTXR KO on tumor growth in vivo using the BALB/c nu/nu mouse xenograft model, in which control or NPTXR-KO-1 MKN1 cells were injected s.c. While tumors formed by the control cells grew progressively over eight weeks, NPTXR KO greatly reduced cell growth (Fig. 3f), as indicated by the significantly smaller tumor volumes formed by NPTXR-KO-1 cells compared with the control MKN1 cells (Fig. 3f).
