In the present study, using resident macrophages isolated from MI hearts revealed that miR-146b-5p overexpression significantly decreased secretion of interleukin-1β (IL-1β), IL-6, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1) (Fig. 2H; P = 0.002, 0.0001, 0.0002 and 0.02, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and myocardial infarction.
