In comparison with controls, lower levels of striatal TSPO binding were obtained in the caudate (PD: −75.7%, PDD: −63.1%, DLB: −69.2%) and putamen (PD: −67.4%, PDD: −57.5%, DLB: −68.9%) samples of LBDs, as shown in Figure 4a, statistically significant results were obtained for the LBDs when compared with AD cases. This evidence concerns the gene TSPO and Lewy body dementia.
