ALB and neoplasm: Tan and co‐workers developed a lipid‐conjugated floxuridine homomeric oligonucleotide (FU20), a widely used therapeutic nucleobase analogue, the systemic delivery of which could be enhanced by “hitchhike” with albumin (Figure 13A).[122] Owing to the modification of diacyl lipid, the FU20‐lipid amphiphile self‐assembled into micelles and could noncovalently attach with albumin through the interaction of lipid and albumin hydrophobic core during blood circulation, which resulted in a sufficient tumor accumulation.
