TLR2 and periodontitis: Exon 3 is the largest exon in TLR2 and contains several synonymous and nonsynonymous SNPS, as shown in the NCBI (NCBI build GRCh37).We identified four known SNPs: two common variants (rs574304, rs5743708 (Arg753Gln)) and two rare variants (rs3804099, rs3804100), a missense mutation in the third exon of the TLR2 gene, which has been the most internationally reported to be associated with periodontitis.
