Indeed, genetic alterations in EGFR and SETD2 frequently co-occur in glioma [27] and TCGA pan-cancer cohort (Figure S6), supporting the notion that co-occurring EGFR and SETD2 alterations cooperate to promote tumor progression, and that SETD2-mutant cancer may evolve a dependency on EGFR signaling. The gene discussed is SETD2; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
