RAB6A and cancer: Therefore, based on our data, it will be intriguing and worthwhile to further investigate this mechanism in future studies aimed at clarifying: (i) which Rab GTPase may be primarily involved in exosome-mediated AIR in breast cancer; (ii) which specific molecules delivered by exosomes may cause extrinsic therapy resistance; (iii) which recipient cells, such as non-resistant cancer cells, macrophages, fibroblasts, etc., can be driven by exosomal molecules from resistant cells within the “AIR microenvironment”.
