Higher ALT level (OR = 1.08; 95% CI: 1.03–1.14; p = 0.004), obesity (BMI ≥ 27.5 kg/m2, OR = 2.64; 95% CI: 1.28–5.44; p = 0.008) and metabolic syndrome (OR = 4.36; 95% CI 1.40–13.58; p = 0.011) were independent factors associated with increased CAP (NAFLD). This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
