Lastly, CCR3 which is present on the T-cells co-localizing with eosinophils in the allergic asthma condition28, and MUC5AC which is the major component of mucous causing airway obstruction in asthma29 (Fig. 6I,J) were also ameliorated by KG3P and nepetin, indicating that the extract and the individual component are indeed potent anti-inflammatory agents.
