Inflammatory markers CRP [10.1 (3.5–20.5) vs. 3.3 (3.3–3.3), p = 0.028] but not ESR [22 (7.5–38.5) vs. 16 (10.3–20), p = 0.25] was higher in rheumatoid arthritis patients when compared to controls. Here, CRP is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
