Yu Xiao et al. [21] conducted a clinical study comparing the level of serum leptin in 58 PTC patients (including 29 patients with lymph node metastasis) and 26 thyroid adenoma patients in Dalian, China, and found that patients with lymph node metastasis have a higher level of leptin than those without lymph node metastasis. This evidence concerns the gene LEP and Thyroid adenoma.
