ITGA5 is a member of integrin family, which mediates the communications between different cells or between cells, and extracellular matrix (ECM) has been reported to be correlated with the progression of colorectal cancer,35, 36 pancreatic cancer,37 hepatocellular carcinoma,38 oral squamous carcinoma,39 non‐small‐cell lung cancer40 and bladder cancer.41 This evidence concerns the gene ITGA5 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
