E2F7 acts as a competitive factor of E2F1, inhibiting transcriptional activation and tumour promotion induced by E2F1.15 On the other hand, E2F7 is significantly increased during formation of tumour spheres in LCSCs.21 In our study, we found that E2F7 promoted cell proliferation by regulating cell-cycle progression and migration and invasion of glioblastoma cells via triggering EMT process. The gene discussed is E2F7; the disease is glioblastoma.
