The intensity ratio of phospho-Tie2/Tie2/β-actin in the erythrocyte membrane was significantly higher in cancer patients compared to controls, mean 5.18 ± SD 0.92 vs. 3.55 ± 0.68 (independent t test, p = 0.0003; Shapiro-Wilk test, p = 0.8392; Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, p > 0.1500) (Fig. 1).
