SLC2A12 interacts with AKT1, acommonly studied gene of interest within GC known to contribute to chemoresistance.41 Although many of the interacting proteins are not as well studied asAKT1, various genes such as MTUS1,PGAP3, ALDOA, and PMP22have been shown within the literature to only influence GC but pancreatic canceras well.42, , , -46 It is clear that further investigation into these understudied specificgenetic interaction networks are needed. Here, SLC2A12 is linked to gastric cancer.
