In our study, the results obtained from the SA-β-Gal staining, the increase of nucleus size of glioblastoma U87-MG cancer cells, the significant increase of p16, p19 and p21 gene expression and the appearance of the SASP (CXCL1, 2 and 5 upregulated) (Figs. 3, 5), demonstrate an FL3-dependent induction of senescence in glioblastoma cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL1 and cancer.
