In ALS, 14 proteins were significantly altered (Fig. 2) with 6 proteins increased—APOL1, CKM, CTSH, IGHG1, IGKC, MYH2—and 8 proteins decreased—C7, COMP, CRTAC1, EFEMP1, FBLN1, GSN, HSPG2, SHBG (Table 2). The gene discussed is MYH2; the disease is amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
