On comparing the baseline characteristics between patients with hypovascular tumors and those without any tumors, the patients with hypovascular tumors tended to be older; more frequently had liver cirrhosis and a history of HCC therapy; and had higher values of total bilirubin, hyaluronic acid, Fib-4 index, and AFP before therapy and at the end of treatment and lower platelet counts and albumin levels than those without any tumors (Table 1). The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
