A 2C CD8+ T cell was seen to migrate to the opening of a slit channel (Fig. 2a), manage to transmigrate through the channel (Fig. 2b), attach to a BNL cell (Fig. 2c), and bring about apoptosis of the tumor cell, which was characterized by rapid blebbing and subsequent shrinkage and fragmentation of the cell (Fig. 2d; see also Movie M1). The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is neoplasm.
