To understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the impact of colonic tumorigenesis, we determined the effects of millet treatment on the key molecules related to the development of CRC; the results are shown in Figure 5A. The phosphorylation of STAT3, which plays a key role in regulating cell growth, proliferation, and survival, was significantly activated by exposure to AOM/DSS.
