Much less is known about other variants, namely the anti‐leucine‐rich glioma‐inactivated 1 (LGI1), anti‐gamma aminobutyric acid‐B receptor (GABABR), and anti‐contactin‐associated protein‐like 2 (CASPR2) encephalitis, whose prevalence has been shown to be significant at 30%, 5%, and 3%, respectively (Lancaster et al., 2011). This evidence concerns the gene CNTNAP2 and encephalitis.
