When the cut-off values of the γ-GT/ALT ratio, AFP and PIVKA-II levels were set as 1.395, 499.80 ng/mL, and 87.63 mAu/mL, respectively, the AUROC of PIVKA-II for diagnosing HCC was significantly higher than that of AFP and γ-GT/ALT (P < 0.001, P < 0.001, respectively), whereas the AUROC of the γ-GT/ALT ratio for diagnosing HCC was significantly higher than that of AFP (P < 0.001; Fig. 2C).
