Secondly, the present study used cachexia criteria of BMI < 20 kg/m2 and FFMI (≤17.4 kg/m2 for males and ≤15 kg/m2 for females) [26] and at least two additional biochemical items (Hb level < 12 g/dL, CRP level < 5 mg/dL, Alb level < 3.2 g/dL) which did not satisfy with the criteria proposed by Evans et al.
