NRAS and thyroid cancer, nonmedullary, 2: Among the 33 RAS-positive results in the entire FNA specimens, NRAS (19 cases, 57.6%) was the most prevalent and 29 (87.9%) were diagnosed as cancer or NIFTP (Table 1); NIFTP was the most prevalent diagnosis (12 cases, 36.4%) in the RAS-positive specimens, followed by the invasive follicular variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma (FV-PTC, seven cases, 21.2%), classic follicular thyroid carcinoma (FTC, four cases, 12.1%), and classic PTC (three cases, 9.1%).
