CRP and tuberculosis: In addition to the identification of proteins known to be regulated during the active TB immunopathology, such as CRP, serum amyloid A (SAA), S100A8, retinol binding protein 4 (RBP4), MMP14, and diverse apolipoproteins, novel proteins were found, such as disks large homolog 4 (DLG4), pulmonary surfactant-associated protein B (SFTPB), complement factor H related 5 (CFHR5), and secreted phosphoprotein 2 (SPP2).
