Nuclear Protein 1 (NUPR1) is a nuclear intrinsically disordered protein (IDP) of 82 amino acids that plays an important role in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) (1, 2), as well as other cancers in which its genetic inactivation induces tumor growth arrest (3–9). The gene discussed is NUPR1; the disease is pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
