Another surprising observation was the appearance of both nonmuscle actinins, Actn1 and Actn4, in a cross-striated pattern in cardiomyocytes of patients with heart failure (Actn1 indicated by white arrows in Figure 5(b) and Actn4 displayed by a white circle and a long white arrow pointing from Figure 6(a) to the magnified image in Figure 6(b)). Here, ACTN4 is linked to heart failure.
