To ensure that these two pathways were explicitly involved in ALKBH5/LYPD1-dependent modulation, further work was required including exploring direct link between LYPD1 and downstream signaling and assessing whether ALKBH5/LYPD1 axis could remodel the sensitivity of HCC cells to inhibitors of PI3K/AKT/mTOR or GTPases pathways in vitro and in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and hepatocellular carcinoma.
