In our study, loss of LYPD1 disrupted the proliferation ability and invasion potential of HCC cells (Fig. 6a-h), while LYPD1 expression was elevated in tumor tissues and high level of LYPD1 indicated a poorer prognosis of HCC (Fig. 6i, j and Additional file 8: Figure S4c-g).
