HNF4A and liver cancer: Although we demonstrate that the MCR diet we used is able to suppress HNF4α-positive liver cancer growth in mice using two independent liver cancer models (xenograft model in Fig. 6h, i, and DEN/HFD model in Supplementary Fig. 8), we did not directly measure the methionine levels in blood and tumors in our setup and confirm that the MCR diet can indeed reduce circulating and tissue methionine.
