SIRT1 and myocardial infarction: Tian et al. found that tilianin significantly reduces myocardial infarction, improves the pathological morphology of myocardium, markedly increase the contents of ATP and NAD+, decreases ADP and AMP contents and the ratio of AMP/ATP, reduce the level of ROS and MDA, enhance SOD activity, evidently increase the levels of AMPK, SIRT1 and PGC-1α mRNA, up-regulate the expressions of AMPK, pAMPK, SIRT1, PGC-1α, NRF1, TFAM and FOXO1 proteins.
