Immunohistochemistry for cleaved Caspase 3 (an apoptosis marker) and Ki67 (a proliferation marker) on the tumor sections showed that the combination treatments significantly decreased Ki67 positive cells (p < 0.001) and increased the Cleaved Caspase 3 positive cells (p < 0.05) (Figure 3c–e, and Figure S3). This evidence concerns the gene CASP3 and neoplasm.
