Surprising in view of the reported MYC/N-enhancing role of IGF2BPs (10,12,34), no significant association of IGF2BP1 and MYC was observed across 33 cancers or the five cancers (LIHC, LUAD, OV, SKCM and PAAD) with expected or validated pro-oncogenic roles of IGF2BP1 (Supplementary Figure S1C, D). The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is cancer.
