Accordingly, the ZEB2/SNAIL2 “differentiation pattern” of EMT-TF expression is replicated in cortical areas of lymph node metastases (Figure 2) similarly to that described in primary tumors, suggesting that melanoma cells may re-differentiate at the metastatic site, reminiscent of the mesenchymal-to-epithelial (MET) process in carcinoma [47,48]. The gene discussed is ZEB2; the disease is melanoma.
