Meng et al.8first assessed the impact of RAAS inhibitors on the level of inflammation in patients with COVID‐19, and although they found no significant change in C‐reactive protein (CRP) levels from the peripheral blood in patients receiving ACEI/ARB treatment, IL‐6 level had a trend of decrease (no statically significance difference may limited by small sample size), and the immune cells (CD3, CD8 T cells) counts were significantly increased. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is COVID-19.
