KDM4D and liver cancer: As shown in Figure 2C, the percentage of JMJD2D knockdown cells at G1 phase was increased compared with control cells, and this was associated with a concomitant decrease of cells at the S or G2/M phase of the cell cycle, suggesting that downregulation of JMJD2D induces liver cancer cell arrest in G1 phase of the cell cycle, which is at least in part responsible for the suppression of cell proliferation by JMJD2D knockdown.
