TP53 and cancer: In the proof-of-concept study, three cytomembrane-impenetrable anti-cancer peptides were copolymerized with chloroauric acid to form peptide-auric spheroidal nanohybrid (SNH): 1) a 12-mer hydrophobic and enzyme-intolerant p53 activator, termed PMI, 2) a 20-mer hydrophilic Wnt inhibitor, termed BBI, and 3) a 12-mer hydrophobic and dextrorotary (proteolytic-resistive) p53 activator, termed DPA.
