Our results showed that PLA2R1 average promoter methylation was able to distinguish breast cancer from a benign control with the area under the curve (AUC) = 0.80 (p < 0.0001) and the sensitivity, specificity and cutoff point at 63%, 93% and 1.03, respectively (Figure 4A). This evidence concerns the gene PLA2R1 and breast carcinoma.
